Aung
Kyaw Htet
Aung Kyaw Htet was born in Myaungmya, Burma in 1965. He studied at the
Yangon (Rangoon) School of Fine Arts after working on a riverboat for
years in order to save enough money for his art education. Aung Kyaw
Htet is a devout Buddhist and often paints scenes involving religious
life in Burma, as well as paintings of general life that possess a
strong sense of harmony and balance. He has participated in numerous
group shows and has been selected to take part in the aseanARToday
exhibition in Malaysia's National Gallery later in 2002.
